Vegan Out: Day 14

Sunday began with a kick my ass Yoga Sculpt Class.  Yoga Sculpt incorporates yoga moves with aforementioned ass kicking weight routines.  By the end of class, my whole body is shaking and I’m ready to go home.  I went to class before having breakfast (mistake) so about 40 minutes into the routine I was day dreaming about what I would eat when I got home.  The dreamed up answer was a piece of toasted Ezekiel bread slathered with peanut butter and then topped with apples and drizzled with Hershey’s syrup.

Made it happen

Since I had just burned about 400 calories and was in full on brunch mode, I decided to whip up some savory after my sweet.

What came next?  Guacamole  of course.  Avos, Tomato, Salt, Lime Juice, and because my Big Guy lives about a 4 hour plane ride away and I won’t be kissing anyone anytime soon, a healthy dose of chopped white onions.

Mashed it all up and served it with some crunch – Carrots & Crackers.  Que Linda!

Feeling quite stuffed, I was off for some QCT (Quality Couch Time).  I caught up on 60 Minutes and spent an hour or two with Benson & Stabler.  It was then time to get ready for Meg’s Chili Party!

Meg’s party offered the perfect opportunity to wear my new kicks!  About a week ago, I heard Nordstrom was offering free shipping on shoe purchases, so I felt that was a good enough excuse to replace my ratty old Converse I’ve been wearing for the past two years.  I got on the interweb to grab a new pair and ended up finding some Pumas I liked way better!  And to top it off, they were on sale and cheaper than the Chucks would have been.  Jackpot! 🙂

Out with the old, in with the new my friends

Moving on to the chili par-tay.  Along the way, I picked up some essentials.  Trippel, Rummikub and Frito Pie Fixins (Cheese, Onions, Fritos)

Meg had her house decorated for football.  Love those flowers!

Here’s the moment of truth – I stuck to my guns and didn’t eat anything non-vegan at the party.  It was tempting, especially with a homemade cornbread available, but I kept it Veg.  Here’s the proof – I PMOC.

(Packed My Own “Cheese”)

No, I wasn’t that excited about it.  Little did I know that in a few moments, missing out on real Cheese and Cornbread would be the least of my problems.  That was the last photo of the night – I dropped my iPhone in Meg’s toilet.  Not quite sure HOW that happened, but it did and now I’ve got an exorcist phone.  It turns on and off at its own will, along with a bunch of other crazy shit.  Amazingly, I managed to fire off a few text messages as well as upload last night’s photos to my MacBook so I could complete this post.

Before replacing it I’m going to try for at least 2-3 days to get it back to functioning properly.  Day 1 of iPhone triage will involve turning it off and placing it in front of a fan all day.

So that’s where I’m at… Toilet -1, iPhone -Nil

But at least I’m still on the Vegan train!

I’m wondering if you should have given Lizz credit for “Jackpot?”
